The templates on the FREE trial are similar but not the same as the templates available in the Multi-User license. Once you become a Multi User you will receive
more complete versions of the templates. For example, the employee survey template on the FREE trial contains only 20 questions. However, on the Multi User version, the employee
survey template contains over 80 questions!
Can I make changes or additions to a template provided in the PULSE library?
Yes, all templates are fully customizable. The templates are provided as a starting point. If you like some of the questions simply keep them and delete the others. If you do
not like any of the templates, you can create your own survey from a blank template.
What is branching and how does it work?
Branching allows you to ask alternate or additional questions based on a particular response to a previous question. You can add branching questions to find out more about certain
population groups or ask certain questions that only apply to certain subsets of your survey population. For example, you may include a question in your survey that asks each respondent to
select the location they work in. One of the response choices may be Chicago. Anytime a respondent selects the option, “Chicago” additional questions are presented in the surveys
that are applicable only to persons working in Chicago. Another way to use branching is to skip questions that may not apply to one subset of the population. For example, you may include a
question in your survey that asks about marital status. Those who selected the “Married” response are presented with additional questions that apply to married persons only. Those
who selected the “Unmarried” response are not presented with the additional questions or are skipped since they do not apply.
What language options are available in the PULSE?
What languages do you want? The PULSE survey software has multi-language capabilities. Here are some of the languages that can be imported into the PULSE software:

How do your recommend communicating the survey to participants? We have a tool built into the PULSE software that allows you to email to all of your potential respondents an invitation with a hyperlink to the survey website. To improve overall participation rates, it is a good idea to send a pre-notification announcement to all respondents prior to receiving the invitation to participate. If you don’t have an opportunity to send a pre-notification announcement prior to survey administration, you can use the email feature in the PULSE software to tailor your message to your respondents.
Can I send to a list of email addresses I have created in Excel?
Yes, you can. Save your file as a CSV (comma separated value) file and you will be able to send to all on your list.
