Foresight Survey Support International Privacy Policy

Foresight Survey Support International's business depends on its customers and survey respondents (Users) being confident that their personal information is not collected unless necessary and that any personal information that is collected is used only for the purpose you authorize, and remains confidential. Foresight recognizes your right to confidentiality and is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy statement discloses what information we gather, and how we use it.

References in this document to "Foresight" refer to Foresight International Inc., the owners of Foresight International, Inc., their affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives (collectively, "Foresight").

Foresight, itself, collects information from our Users at several different points on our website, and that information is subject to our control and this Policy. Please note that there are limitations to Foresight's control of information provided in response to survey questions as described in the section of this policy labeled "Survey Respondents".

We do not collect personal information when you visit our site unless you signup for a service, place an order, register, complete a survey or enter a contest.

Customers:

When you place an order we will ask you for the following personal information: name, e-mail address, mailing address, company name, phone number, fax number and credit card number and its expiration date. This information is requested to verify your identity. This information is transmitted via a secure encrypted server using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, the approved industry standard (see Security section below). We may use your personal information to contact you for account purposes. Certain standard information (card number, address) is passed to credit card and financial institutions in the course of processing payments for orders, and becomes subject to their use. We use credit card processing partners to bill users for services. These are reputable, major companies who use information we pass to them to provide financial services in the normal course of business.

In the course of providing services, Foresight may receive from customers, email lists for survey invitations, and other data regarding a survey. Foresight will not use email addresses for purposes other than providing service to the customer. Specifically, we do not use or sell email addresses to which invitations have been sent using Foresight's email invitation system. Please note, however, that Foresight does use aggregate information about questions, responses, and emails, to learn about and improve how our service works. For example, we may measure the response rates to email invitations, or how the position of a question on a page affects its response rate.

Those using the "Contact Us" feature:

When you contact us via e-mail or use the "contact us" section of our website we will request your name, e-mail address, mailing address, company name, phone number and fax number. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiries.

Survey Respondents:

People who use this site only to take or respond to surveys do not need to provide personal data prior to, or after completing a survey or survey questionnaire. However, the nature of our service means that other organizations and individuals use our site to collect information through survey questionnaires. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and the survey respondent therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose personally identifiable information. However, survey responders must remain aware that giving personally identifiable information in response to a survey questionnaire will circumvent any protection that Foresight could provide as described in this Privacy Policy since all information you provide in a survey will be released to the organizations or individuals conducting the survey. Foresight has no control over what information is requested by these organizations or individuals, who may have their own different policies regarding the information they collect through survey questionnaires. Concerned users should check with the surveying organization to learn its privacy policy. In order to ensure that surveying is done in a fair, just, and scientific manner, Foresight may record IP addresses of survey respondents. Releases of IP address information may happen only as otherwise provided for under the Exceptions section of this Privacy Policy. Without providing personally identifiable information we may share aggregated demographic information about survey takers and survey results with our partners and customers. This is not given as personal information that can identify any individual person or any individual person's response to a survey question.

Use of Personal Information:

Your personal information is never sold, rented, leased, traded, swapped, marketed, exchanged, bartered, distributed, or disclosed in any way. We may share general demographic information with advertisers and partners as aggregated information that cannot be used in any way to identify you.

Foresight will not send you unsolicited e-mail. We may offer you the option of receiving emails or newsletter on matters of interest to you but only those who accept by clicking Yes and give us their email address.

Security

We use industry-standard SSL authentication to guarantee the confidentiality and privacy of online transactions through our site. SSL authentication and 128-bit encryption (scrambling) ensure that your online transaction and credit card information are safe from third-party interception.

Log Files

We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track users' movement, prevent unauthorized tampering with our services, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not generally linked to personally identifiable information, although they may be recorded in transaction log files to aid in security auditing. Log files include IP address, domain name, pages visited, access times, browser type, referring pages, and other information that is part of a normal Web page request. Those conducting surveys may have their IP addresses (unique network identifying numbers) recorded in order to prevent fraud or misuse.
